Schedule Changed
As hubby started the new job, the schedule has to be changed.
This job needs him to working longer than the previous one, so it’s left me with just an hour or two for work. And we think it’s not worth much driving along to work just one hour also the gas prices keep going up and up nowadays. So I decided to stay at home now. It’s the decision that I’ve been thinking for a long time, watching my baby grow up and always be there for him everytime he needs me.
About two weeks ago, we brought Vianney swim for the first time.
We plan to go alot for swim this summer, first we want to make sure that he likes to put in the water. Then we called our friends which is Vianney’s Godparents who lived in the condo that has a pool inside to give it a try.
First time we put him on the water, he seems so afraid of water and crying. But as time goes by he started to enjoyed it. Overall seems fine. So we can bring him to the community centre near by next time.
Two days later, Vianney got fever, high fever.
Started on late Monday, I thought it was just a fever that happened because of teething. We gave him Tempra. But by the clock ticking, the fever has gone up and down. On the next day, we rush to Kidz Clinic in the hospital since our family doctor cannot accomodate patient without appointment.
We waited for an hour then the nurse came to call us. She asked me anything related to the fever, what’s the last time I gave him the drugs, how much is it, any cough or runny nose, etc. Then she weighted Vianney. She said that the dosis I gave him is not quite enough for his weight. It should be more than written in the bottle. That’s why the fever kept coming eventhough I’ve had given him less than 2 hours.
The doctor then checked him and said it’s from virus. Because he cant find anything infection on Vianney, nor the throat or urine. He asked us to see and wait another 3 days.
On Thursday, I decided to bring him to our family doctor to get another check up. He came with the diagnosis that it must be Roseola. This kind of fever will last for three days and then will show up rash over all the body. It’s common in the child of 6 months - 2 years old. It’s harmless and not required special treatment except just to bringing down the fever.
On this days, Vianney still active but decreased the appetite. Poor baby.
I started to notice the rash on Friday, it’s on his lower tummy and legs. Doctor said it’s okay, the rash will dissapear in few days. He’s right, there’s no more fever. Thanks God.
By saturday, Vianney’s back to normal. No fever and the rash all gone.
At this time, I’m glad that I decided to stay home. The decision that I wont regret it now or later. I can take care of Vianney by myself as I knew he’s very attached to me. Even when we were in the hospital, he want me not hubby to carry him when the nurse or doctor checked him. For now, let hubby be the one who bring the bread to the table for this family while I can fully take care of Vianney.
Wah dulu Andrew habis ultah pertama juga gitu. Panas tinggi, sampe kita panik banget. Dan ternyata yah itu roseola. It’s ok kok, entar pada keluar2 semua bercak2 merah. Tapi habis itu udah ngga apa2. I am glad you decided to stay at home and give Vianney your full attention. My mom did when we were little and I feel very grateful that she did that.

wah cepet sembuh ya vianney… untungnya kalo sakit Marv gak pernah sih sampe panas *amit2 dah* banyak diminumin air putih aja bu.. katanya kalo sering2 minum air putih biasanya daya tahan tubuh lebih bagus & anak juga gak gampang panas kok ..

@Ariany: Ini fever mungkin gara2 dibawa berenang itu juga kale. Gw baca roseola kan nular dari yang kotor2 gitu, apalagi Vianney suka masukin tangan ke mulut. Sebelum2nya sih paling cuman anget abis imunisasi aja.
